Where are you located?
We're putting the finishing touches on our Fall 2026 class locations! Our home base will be in Brevard, North Carolina, with pop-up events throughout Western North Carolina. Be sure to join our email newsletter to be the first to hear when locations are announced.
What safety measures do you take?
At SWAG, your child's safety is our highest priority.
All of our coaches complete USA Gymnastics SafeSport® Training at a minimum and receive additional training appropriate to the age groups and gymnastics skills they teach. We strive to create a safe, encouraging environment where every child can build confidence while learning new skills.
How many children are in each class?
We maintain a maximum 12:1 student-to-coach ratio.
For our youngest classes, the ratio is often even smaller so each child receives the individual attention they need to safely develop strength, coordination, confidence, and gymnastics skills.
What should my child wear to class?
No special clothing or expensive leotards are required!
Comfortable athletic clothing—such as shorts or leggings with a fitted T-shirt—is perfect. Long hair should be tied back, and jewelry should be left at home.
Please bring:
Indoor athletic shoes
Socks
A labeled water bottle
A small healthy snack
We may use a basketball gym floor for portions of our warm-up or games, so clean indoor sneakers are important. Even if a class doesn't include an official snack break, active kids often appreciate having a snack ready for after class.
What will my child learn?
Every SWAG class is designed to help children build a strong foundation for movement and gymnastics.
Children will learn fundamental body positions and shapes—including tuck, straddle, pike, hollow, arch, and safe landings—that support everything from beginner gymnastics through more advanced skills.
More importantly, we want every child to leave class feeling stronger, more confident, and excited to keep learning. At SWAG, we believe in building strength, wonder, confidence, and grit through joyful movement.
What age should my child start gymnastics?
Children can begin enjoying movement from infancy! SWAG offers age-appropriate classes designed to grow with your child—from parent-and-toddler adventures to beginner gymnastics for school-age children. Each class is tailored to the developmental needs of that age group, helping children build strength, coordination, confidence, and a love of movement.
My child has never taken gymnastics before. Is that okay?
Absolutely!
Many of our students are trying gymnastics for the very first time. Our classes are designed to meet children where they are and celebrate progress at every stage. Whether your child is naturally adventurous or a little hesitant, our coaches create a positive environment where every child can grow at their own pace.
